Judges: Jay Foley, Joey B, Joker Nharnarh

Hosts: Essilfua Boris-Hemans

The Sound Hunt at UPSA (University of Professional Studies, Accra) was the inaugural search on Friday, 29 May 2026, where the three "Sound Hunters", Joey B, Jay Foley, and Joker Nharnah set out in their mobile caravan to discover authentic, raw musical talent. After gathering the crowd at the Fountain Area to announce the rules and the prize of fifteen gold chains to advance to the Uprising Stage, the judges split to maximize their reach across the campus. Joey B sought talent in unconventional spots like the Football Field and the Central Courtyard, while Jay Foley and Joker Nharnah managed initial auditions at the Central Garden, with Jay Foley later moving to the UPSA Hostel to call out to students on the balconies with a megaphone. The hunt was characterized by spontaneous auditions, immediate feedback, and competition among the judges for standout voices, culminating in a merge near the main stage area to award the final gold chains.
